2012 CLGO Governing Board Meeting was Held Successfully

On May.21th, 2012, SJTU-CLGO Governing Board Meeting was held in Room 209, North Building, Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Industry partners’ participation in program operation is one of CLGO features. SJTU, MIT and industry partners jointly founded CLGO governing board to manage program and set long-term goals.
The members of CLGO governing board who attended the meeting include Prof. Lv Wei, Vice Dean of Antai College of Economics and Mangement, Prof. Don Rosenfield, MIT LGO director, Prof. David Simchi-Levi and Prof. Georgia Perakis and industry partners representatives: Rob York from Apple , Charla Serbert from Dell, Teresa Yang VP of Esquel Group, Xu Gang, VP of Honeywell, Lu Junwei, COO of Nike, Shirley Shao, HR manager in Novartis, Suresh Babu, VP of Schneider Electric and Vivian Wang, HR manager from Cisco.
In the meeting, Prof. Chen Xiaorong introduced CLGO development in last months, including CLGO’s admission students internship, social activities and enterprise recruitment. Followling was MIT LGO’s report.
Representative from Cisco introduced their support for CLGO on students recruitment, development and internship. Through this Governing Board Meeting, SJTU, MIT and industry partners had a heated discussion and set next development objective for CLGO.
As China’s first and only trans-disciplinary, graduate level dual-degree program to combine engineering depth with management breadth, SJTU-MIT CLGO (China Leaders for Global Operations) program aims to develop business leaders who are strong in both technology and management, who possess a global mindset as well as an in-depth understanding of China market.
