CLGO students of 2016 class successfully completed the “China tour”enterprises visit

From September 4, 2017 to September 8, CLGO2016 class students started the one-week “China tour “enterprises visit activities. During this China tour, the students visited three cities in southern China --- Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, visited some well-known enterprises such as Esquel, Huawei, CIMC, Tencent, GAC-Toyota, and learned their advanced management experience in operation and manufacturing.

On September 4, the students came to Esquel Hong Kong headquarters. The company HR senior manager Gabriel Ho firstly led the students to visit the headquarters of “PYE” store. “PYE” is the own brand of Esquel company, mainly specializing in high-grade cotton dress shirt, in addition, it also sells the casual shirts, T-shirts and other peripheral products made of new fabric which are researched and developed by Esquel. Afterwards, “PYE” retail business manager and “PYE” store manager introduced the positioning concept, vision and product features of “PYE” in detail to the students. After that, HR director Francis Chan introduced the vision and corporate culture of Esquel to the students. Then, the students visited the headquarters office building of Esquel Hong Kong. The whole office area was felt very warm and full of artistic atmosphere. The round tables and sofas in the open type office area not only can make the employees relaxed and rested, but also make them having high efficient discussion. The head office of Esquel is designed by Mr. Lin Zhoumin. He is also the designer of Eslite bookstore. At noon, the students enjoyed the delicate and delicious lunch at company headquarters, at the same time, also listened to workplace experience sharing of mentor Chen Jialing for many years work in Esquel Hong Kong. In the afternoon, colleagues in the technical department shared their experience in the company rotational and career development of Esquel Company, and the general manager of Foshan accessories factory shared the growth of Esquel in the accessories business in recent years.

After visit of a day, students were deeply impressed by the company concept of “sustainable development”. Esquel not only pays attention to environmental protection in the production process, but also pays attention to water saving, power saving and less sewage discharge. Esquel plant has its own power plant and sewage treatment plant, and water and electricity consumption are the core assessment indicators of the plant. In addition, Esquel attaches great importance to the cultivation of talents in all aspects. Esquel University makes detailed training plans for every employee, hopes that the potential employees have the Job rotation and integrated development. Finally, when talking about the development of the company garment manufacturing business and peripheral businesses, Gabriel expressed the welcome to the students to join Esquel. On September 5th, CLGO came to Songshan Lake Factory of Huawei located in Guangdong, Dongguan, where they were warmly received by the staff. Under the guidance of the staff, the students visited the advanced P10 mobile phone production workshop where covers the main board assembly, complete machine assembly, complete machine test, packaging and other process of mobile phone production. With all kinds of the function of the self-developed automatic production lines and supporting test equipment, the production line can achieve batch manufacture of Huawei flagship products. At present, most of the products has realized the automatic production, including automatic distribution automatic assembly, automatic test, automatic packaging. Through tertiary visual factory kanban system, it realizes the real-time visual of quality problem output condition, production efficiency and risk early warning.

On September 6, CLGO students came to China International Marine Containers Co., Ltd (CMIC) located in Shekou, Shenzhen. They firstly visited the R&D center of CMIC. Through the explanation of the staff, the students learned that CMIC now has eight business modules: container, road transportation, energy chemical industry and food equipment, marine engineering, airport equipment, logistics service, financial service and industrial city development. After watching the video introduction of CMIC, students have a deeper understanding of the development history and current industrial layout of CMIC.

After the visiting the R&D center, the students had a 3-hour exchange forum with the senior leaders of CMIC vehicles. The first item on the agenda was a detailed introduction to CMIC by Mao Yi, the manager of human resources department; The second item on the agenda was that He Chuan, the CLGO student representative introduced the characteristics of CLGO program, curriculum setting and student background to the senior leaders of Cimc vehicles who attended the meeting, so that the enterprise can have a clearer understanding of CLGO students. The third item on the agenda was that Dr. Shen Jianwen shared “technology upgrade calling for compound leading talents”. Dr. Shen Jianwen mentioned that with the continuous upgrading of informatization and globalization, the enterprises increasingly need compound talents who master both technology and management talents. The fourth item on the agenda was to introduce the technology department and relevant business departments and positions, so that CLGO students can have a better understanding of the talents that are in short supply in CMIC. The last item on the agenda was the free exchange link. CLGO students communicated with general manager Li Guiping, the Antai alumni, about the business module and cross-regional management of CMIC vehicles. General Manager Li also shared with the students the current development situation of the industry and his own professional development experience of many years.

On September 6th, CLGO students came to the Tencent Company located in Nanshan high-tech park of Shenzhen city. Tencent building was built on August 24, 2009. At present, the R&D and operation departments are working here. The students firstly visited the exhibition hall of Tencent to review the development history of the company. At the same time, they got to know the mainstream business of Tencent and looked into the future development direction of Tencent. The students also had an in-depth discussion with the commentator on current hot topics, such as big data, cloud computing, game industry. They deeply felt the innovation and vitality of Internet enterprises and the strong sense of social responsibility of Tencent as a private enterprise.

After the visit, the students communicated with the colleagues of Tencent product operation and human resources. On how to make customers satisfied with the product, everyone expressed their views. The discussion atmosphere was very warm. At the same time, the students also fully understood the Tencent corporate culture and the daily life style of employees. Tencent has always been adhering to the business philosophy of “all taking the user value as basis”. The Tencent people who hope to improve the quality of human life through Internet services practice the original intention of the establishment of the company with practical action, and strive to make every product able to make the customer experience as the starting point, which achieves the success of Tencent today.
