Shanghai Jiao Tong University, MIT and Cimc Vehicle Group held the signing ceremony of school-enterprise cooperation of CLGO program

In the afternoon of May 28, 2018, the representatives of China Leaders for Global Operations of Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology（MIT LGO）, Cimc Vehicle (Group) Co., Ltd held the signing ceremony of university-enterprise cooperation. Cimc Vehicle (Group) Co., Ltd officially became the Partner Copmany of SJTU - MIT China leaders for global operations (CLGO) program.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Chen Xiaorong, the director of CLGO program, and Dong Ming, the vice President of Antai College of Economics and Management delivered a speech for the signing ceremony. He warmly welcomed Cimc Vehicle Group, a pioneer in the internationalization of China manufacturing industry to become a CLGO parnter company and to fully participate in the interview, teaching, internship, employment and other links of CLGO program students. After then, Zhou Lin, the President of Antai College of Economics and Management, vice President of CIMC GROUP, and Mr. Li Guiping, the managing director of Cimc Vehicle (Group) Co., Ltd signed the memorandum of cooperation with Professor Thomas Roemer, the director of MIT LGO program.

After signing the contract, Professor Zhou Lin, the dean of Antai College of Economics and Management said that he was very glad that CLGO school-enterprise cooperation was supported by the top management level of Cimc Group. Mr. Li Guiping was not only the executive who led Cimc Group to achieve international operation. But also was a friend who has known each other for many years and that he believed that such cooperation would surely bring more opportunities for students to have in-depth internship and research in enterprises, and help Cimc Group to acquire more operational talents that can adapt to China's national conditions and international needs.

Professor Thomas Roemer, the director of the MIT LGO program said that with the rising status of China manufacturing industry in the global manufacturing industry, the training objective of CLGO program has Changed to training the operation elites that adapt to the further internationalization of Chinese enterprises from originally cultivating operational talents simply that meet the needs of multinational enterprises in China. More and more business model cases of Chinese enterprises have attracted international attention. He hoped to have the opportunity to visit the headquarters of Cimc in Shenzhen and its factory in the United States with students in the near future.

Mr. Li Guiping from Cimc Vehicle Group said that as an alumnus of Antai, he was the great honor to promote the cooperation between Cimc Vehicle group and Antai of Jiao Tong University on the occasion of the centennial anniversary of the college.
