Teaching Seminar for the "China Leaders for Global Operations" Program (CLGO) at Antai College of Economics and Management Held in 2025

On January 7, 2025, the teaching seminar for the China Leaders for Global Operations (CLGO) program at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was held in Antai A509. The seminar was attended by over 20 participants, including Zhu Xi, Deputy Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management; Luo Jun, Director of the CLGO program; Cao Yufeng, Academic Director of the CLGO program; leaders from related departments; CLGO lecturers; and project advisors. Invited attendees included Qi Kaiyue, Director of MEM at the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering; Xu Feng, Teaching Director of MEM Education Center at the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering; and Zhang Dali, Associate Researcher at the China-America Logistics Institute. Other attending teachers were: Chen Feng, Du Sugou, Guo Jingzhou, Guo Xiaochuan, Lü Wei, Qiao Weixin, Shi Guifeng, Wang Hongbin, Wang Liya, Xu Xiaodong, Zhang Wengu, and Zheng Meimei, listed alphabetically by surname.The seminar was chaired by Luo Jun. In his opening remarks, Zhu Xi acknowledged the achievements of the CLGO program in integrating industry, academia, and research, and expressed sincere gratitude to the leaders and teachers from various colleges for their long-term support. Luo Jun provided an overview of the CLGO program's development over the past five years, detailing aspects such as educational training and industry collaborations, while highlighting current challenges. Cao Yufeng analyzed existing issues within the curriculum and introduced the reform plan for the CLGO program in 2025, proposing future reform goals such as shortening the duration of study and adding specialized courses.During the discussion session, attending faculty engaged in in-depth discussions on the precise positioning of the CLGO program, talent cultivation, faculty development, and industry-academia collaboration. Teachers shared their experiences and insights, fostering lively interactions that offered valuable suggestions for the program's reform and future planning.Luo Jun concluded the seminar, emphasizing the need to implement effective measures in response to the challenges faced during the program's development, particularly regarding student enrollment alignment and specialized course offerings. He assured that the program team would carefully consider the teachers' valuable suggestions to continuously optimize teaching and management while actively exploring new paths for the future development of the Antai CLGO program.
