IKEA’s New Law & Requirements and Quality Control

IKEA is a privately held, international home products company. The firm is known for the attention it gives to cost control, operational details and continuous product development, allowing it to lower its prices by an of average 2 to 3% over the decade to 2010, while continuing its global expansion. Its new law& requirements are quality control policy is also famous in IKEA’s development. Mr. Fotheringham is coming to share us with the knowledge and experience of IKEA’s quality management, etc.
Speaker Background:
Rab Fotheringham, IKEA China Quality Director
Rab has 40 years’ experience working in textiles factories mostly knitted garments, starting as a cleaning boy then mechanic, head & sample mechanic, technical manager, technical & production manager and then manager responsible for all knitted products. The last part of those 40 years (2001 to 2006) he was working as a consultant (to help improve production efficiency & quality) to the customers in China for a German company who made textile machinery.
For the last 5 years he has been working with IKEA as Production & quality specialist.
